We are delighted to hear that Bethlehem Attfield has been shortlisted for her first novel-length translation: The Lost Spell by Yismake Worku. The nomination is well deserved; Attfield is currently undertaking a practice-based PhD at Birmingham University specialising in contemporary Amharic fiction. She also founded the Ethiopian Translators Network and hosts the YouTube podcast Journey
